Pre-drilling the post and bracket before screwing is advisable when using heavy and thick bolts. The POSTUP brace is suitable for posts set in sand or leaning away from the side where it will be installed. It can support various post sizes and types, up to 4x6 gates, but it only comes with two holes and two lag bolts.
